How well does it rank in those all-important search engines? The measure of your domain name’s power is called “domain authority,” and it depends on three general factors: size, age, and popularity. Googlebot uses sitemaps and databases of links discovered during previous crawls to determine where to go next. In short, don’t just use the exact keyphrase but be sure to use lots of relevant and related language. Excessive link exchange ("Link to me and I'll link to you") or partner pages exclusively for the sake of cross-linking will negatively impact a website’s ranking in search results. To increase your CTR, create a custom description that describes what your page is about and what the reader can expect to get out of visiting your page. You also want to include your target keyword. Think about the searcher’s intent when crafting this description. You may have read on SEO forums that keyword-rich domain names are a waste of time, that users see them as spammy, and that brand presence is more important. As usual, there is some truth in all these arguments, but recognize that if you choose to follow this advice, you are opting not to use one of the most powerful SEO tools at your disposal. High-quality content means faultless spelling. It’s true that people often misspell words they type into search bars. Some the of not-so-recommended techniques advise to optimize a website also for misspelled keywords so that users who are not good at grammar could easily find it.
